From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was absolutely perfect. This is what I would describe as a classic "old school" hotel in the best sense of the word. The breakfast is buffet style, but in the grandest sense. You get to choose from a wonderful selection of fresh breads, pastries, cheeses, fruits, cereals to hot breakfast foods, such as scrambled/fried/boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes. Tea and coffee is served in silver pots. There is smoked salmon and sparkling wine. The breakfast room is lovely and you can choose to eat inside the airy room or outside in the courtyard. The heated outdoor pool and its surrounding garden are a beautiful oasis in a busy city that is pushed for space. The adjoining bar serves great casual food. We had the Salmon Poke bowl and it was delicious and very filling. The main restaurant is serious silver service, without being in the slightest bit stuffy or formal. I would highly recommend the tasting menu. You get to try the what I consider the highlights of what is on offer for a little more than 2 courses. The chef is exceptional. The room is beautiful and in keeping with its traditional setting. Lots of chandeliers, swagged curtains, flower arrangements. The bar is just what you would expect from a hotel of this style. Moody lighting, with lots of red tones and dark wood. Expert cocktails, free bar snacks, very friendly staff and a piano player to die for. There is also a great indoor pool with a sauna and steam room. Our room was spacious, with a large marble bathroom and balcony.

The room (Junior Suite with balcony) was absolutely perfect. It had a separate area apart from the room where the closet is; including a door to separate that area. I loved this feature. The balcony view was perfect and the size of the balcony was great. There was even an outdoor outlet on the balcony which was perfect for me as I had to do some work on my computer and was blessed to be able to do that work on the balcony. Amazing bed! very comfy! Breakfast room was absolutely beautiful and the food was great. Also, they have a lovely bar for cocktails with outdoor seating. Great for an evening cocktail or even a nightcap. I truly loved the old world charm everywhere. The city center was a 10 - 12 minute Uber or taxi ride way. It was worth "not" being in central downtown Lisbon. Coming "home" after spending the afternoon or day is Lisbon, was much better than staying amongst the crowds in the city. The staff were just amazing as well and second to none. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in some luxurious hotels. Olissippo Palace is in my top 5 hotels that I have stayed in around the world. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel provided impeccable service from the moment we arrived. It was a quiet, luxurious setting. The pools were lovely. Room service was fast and fabulous. The staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfast options were good and the atmosphere was pleasant. We had connecting rooms, each with a balcony that was quiet and overlooked the pool and gardens. Carpeting was plush and the beds were comfortable. Room size was generous. There were fresh flowers in the bathrooms and L'Occitane bath products. We frequently stay at the Ritz-Carlton and the Four Seasons but this hotel provided better service and amenities than those. We highly recommend this boutique hotel.

The room was very large and had a very nice balcony overlooking the lovely garden The garden featured a large and attractive swimming pool but also a lovely natural pond with coy carp and fresh water turtles. The whole garden was simply stunning. Another bonus was the indoor pool - great for an early morning swim before breakfast. Both pools were heated. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel was very quiet and elegant with lovely gardens off the breakfast room and bar and a terrace overlooking the main garden off the dining room. The hotel was one of the nicest I have stayed in anywhere.

Christine

The room and bathroom were both great, confortable and pleasant. The breakfast was spectacular as it was the breakfast area coutyard...pleasant, peaceful and just pain very enjoyable. Although, we did not use the pool or spa facilities, we visited these and thought they were great. The pool and the gardens are beautiful....an oasis in the city of Lisbon. The staff for the hotel were always attentive and welcoming. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The only draw back is that the hotel is not close to the city center.
